      The Team
      The Digital Workplace and Collaboration Services Branch (DWCS) is an established team of 85 dedicated professionals responsible for implementing high-quality tools to support a modern digital workplace. By delivering employee-ready tools and supports, DWCS enables and empowers all B.C. Public Service employees to deliver services to the citizens of B.C. DWCS is focused on providing simple, accessible, and approachable solutions to employees; by delivering the information and resources they need to access and use digital tools and services.

      Part of the DWCS team includes an 8-member Operational Initiatives Unit (OI) which plays a crucial role in supporting the branch by delivering foundational services in finance, contract and procurement, administrative, and people operations. Collaborating with technical expert, branch leadership, internal government partners and external vendors, the team ensures that the branch is able to deliver cloud-based tools to B.C. Public Service employees to support a modern digital workplace. Their ongoing dedication to foundational services is highly valued and essential to the branch’s success.

      The Role
      The Contract and Procurement Analyst is responsible for managing the branch's procurement and contract needs, including asset procurement, contract development, and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations. This role supports other DWCS units to be able to deploy and maintain cloud-based tools need for a modern digital workplace .       Qualifications:
      Education and Experience Requirements

      • Diploma in public administration, business administration, procurement/contract management, financial management or related program, plus a minimum of one (1) year of related experience*, OR
      • Certificate in public administration, business administration, procurement/contract management, financial management or related program, plus a minimum of two (2) years of related experience*, OR
      • Secondary School graduation (Dogwood, GED) and a minimum of three (3) years of related experience*


      *Related experience must include ALL of the following:

      • Experience in the full procurement life cycle for routine acquisitions.
      • Experience providing contract management advice and coordination services.
      • Experience with government procurement and/ or contract procedures (i.e. either internal to government preparing/making procurements or externally, responding to government procurements).
      • Experience managing and coordinating relationships with internal and external partners/ clients.


      Preference may be given to candidate with one (1) or more of the following:

      • Experience utilizing Oracle financial software applications (i.e CAS, iExpense, iProcurement, etc.)
      • Experience interpreting complex policy or procedures to provide advice to senior decision makers.
      • Experience monitoring contractual deliverables and performance.
      • Experience with CLIFF, eApprovals, and/or equivalent document workflow system.
      • One (1) or more years of experience providing business analysis which may include financial administration, fiscal budgeting processes and/or financial analytics.
