      Become part of a team working to improve the social and economic integration of newcomers to BC. The Immigration Policy and Integration Branch is responsible for the design and delivery of provincial immigration settlement and integration programs that ensure successful integration and employment of newcomers. The Branch received a Top Unit Work Award in 2022, which is awarded to work units with the top 20 percent engagement scores across the public service.

      Under the guidance of senior program staff, the Business Application Advisor represents the program area in the design, development, and ongoing implementation, enhancement and maintenance of business applications that meets current and future business needs.

      Job Requirements:

      • Bachelor’s degree, or diploma, or certification or equivalent in the computer science field or in business administration.
      • Experience with business applications including trouble shooting and user support, and implementation planning, testing and security.
      • Experience developing analytical reports.
      • Experience in working collaboratively with internal and external user stakeholders on business process change and gathering user needs for application enhancement requirements.
      • Experience in advanced proficiency with MS Excel, including pivot tables and advanced formulas.
      • Preference may be given to those candidates with experience in Power BI

      About this Position:

      This position can be based in any Municipal Affairs office. The locations listed above are to assist applicants in searching for this opportunity and are not a complete list of locations.
      Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work up to 5 days at home per week subject to an approved telework agreement.
