- Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field. An equivalent combination of education/training and experience may be considered.
- One (1) year experience building relationships with other government teams, agencies, governments, community/special interest groups.
- One (1) year experience managing projects and/or project components.
- Six (6) months experience facilitating/leading group discussions
- Experience in needs assessment, design, development, implementation and evaluation of programs/projects.
- Experience in computer-based training, distance education, and training for adults.
- Experience facilitating or delivering presentations using digital conference platforms (e.g. Zoom).
- Experience interpreting and applying ChildCareBC policies and legislation.

The Community Liaison/Quality Assurance Officer creates program communications and materials that support a cohesive service experience for those engaging with ChildCareBC, develops and implements quality assurance frameworks and procedures, and monitors program delivery for compliance to these frameworks. The position liaises with stakeholders throughout the province and other provincial ministries to influence others positively towards the ChildCareBC mandate and programs and to obtain input on service and programs that are consistent with community needs. The position develops and provides training to staff and stakeholders.
The Child Care Operating Funding Program is one of two programs in the Child Care Benefit and Operating Funding Branch and provides funding to over 4,000 licensed child care facilities across B.C. The funding is provided through funding agreements and consists of operating funding to assist with the day-to-day costs of operating a child care facility, a parent fee reduction to support affordability through lower child care fees for parent and, a wage enhancement to support early childhood educators working in licensed child care facilities.

Victoria has two building locations, both with space to accommodate in-office work. The Vancouver office may be accessed for limited drop-in use.
Remote work is allowed. This position can work up to 4 days per week from their home as per the telework agreement. Please reach out to the hiring manager for further details or questions.
