  Job Summary

  Provides consulting services with technical and/or industry knowledge in Utility Operational Technologies (OT) with a focus on Distributed Energy Management Systems (DERMS), Demand Response Management Systems (DRMS), Electric Distribution Outage Management Systems (OMS), Advance Distribution Management Systems (ADMS) and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) Systems. Function in a lead role and as a technical specialist. Manage the client engagement as engagement manager. May provide technical guidance or supervise staff on engagements. Lead client facing meetings. Develop high-quality business and technical deliverables related to complex client engagements and ensure client satisfaction. Identify sales opportunities.

  Principal Duties:

  · Provide functional and technical expertise in various aspects of DERMS/DRMS implementations such as solution architecture, initial system design, requirements and gap analysis and system implementation support

  · Support execution of engagements to assist electric utilities with management of OT (SCADA/ADMS/GIS/AMI) system planning, implementation, testing and operation

  · Support the evaluation of potential new vendor partners, and the development of partnerships with key vendors

  · Support business requirements definition, request for proposal development and vendor evaluation

  · Support proposal evaluation, selection process, statement of work development and vendor contract negotiation

  · Support solution design, documentation, planning, implementation, vendor management, testing and acceptance

  Technical Skills:

  · Use relevant utility experience to engage with client utilities to understand their specific applications, approaches and methodologies in Electric Distribution Operational systems and DERMS implementation.

  · Proven knowledge on DERMS implementation on-Prem or on Cloud (Azure/AWS)

  · Understanding of DEMRS system functionalities (Load Forecasting, Demand management, DER resource loading & scheduling, DER Operating Envelop, Network Congestion Management....)

  · Knowledge on ADMS functionalities of Fault Management through FLISR/FDIR, Feeder Reconfiguration, Load-shed, Voltage VAR control, Distribution Load flow.

  · Hands-on experience on any GE / Schneider / OSI ADMS or OMS of ABB / Oracle NMS.

  · IT/OT and Australian utilities security standards.

  · Expertise in developing requirements, testing, acceptance and transition

  · Knowledge of and a working familiarity with current standards, and regulations governing power systems

  · Experience of any programming language (Python, Java, .Net) and any database (SQL, MySQL)

  · Understanding hardware, software and architecture including market trends and consulting level experience.

  · Understanding of GIS (Smallworld, ESRI) & Smart AMI metering

  · Experienced resource from Electric Utilities and/or Consulting Entities servicing this area will be preferred

  Industry Knowledge Capability:

  · Good understanding of electric utility distribution planning, engineering and operations

  · Assess effectiveness of client’s use of tools, applications, processes to adapt to new OT applications for solution areas such as DERMS/DRMS/ADMS/OMS.

  · Understanding of electricity generation, distributed generation, energy storage, and the controls associated.

  · Utilize specialized utility system design and planning knowledge to produce moderately complex work products and solutions across engagements or multiple phases of a more complex engagement

  · Apply appropriate methods or recognized equivalent to identified client needs

  · Anticipate and resolve technical problems with occasional technical assistance from others

  Minimum Qualifications

  · Bachelor’s degree in electrical or computer engineering or similar technical domain

  · At least 7 years of experience in business and technical consulting, or relevant engagement implementation services as part of an DERMS or SCADA vendor team

  · At least 5 years of experience in Electricity OT/SCADA systems

  · Ability to travel up to 50%
