What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Analyze, evaluate, and develop child welfare policy, specifically in permanency planning
- Research, analyze, and interpret State and Federal laws to formulate policies and procedures
- Provide consultation, supervision, and support for special initiatives within the Permanency Planning section
- Offer technical assistance, program administration, and policy development
- Support the regional state oversight model in delivering child welfare services
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Master's degree in a relevant discipline and three years of related experience
- OR Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline and five years of related experience
- Experience working in child welfare permanency planning, foster care, or adoption services programs
- Ability to train various groups on policies and procedures
- Strong understanding of State and Federal regulations related to foster care initiatives
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in researching and interpreting child welfare funding issues
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Familiarity with policy analysis and development processes
