      ADRA Bridge Intern -- Program Implementation Unit

      The ADRA BRIDGE Internship Program is designed to recognize talent, develop talent through mentorship and shape talent into International Development professionals.

      ADRA BRIDGE is for undergraduate and graduate students that are interested in learning more about the International Development industry and non-profit work. ADRA BRIDGE will give interns the opportunity to learn more about the International Development industry and how their talents and skills can be an asset to this industry. Learning from International Development professionals, interns will be able to apply their classroom knowledge in a real world setting.

      ADRA is looking for interns that are passionate, excited and have the desire to learn and grow. Interns will build their strengths, build their resumes and become the professionals with the experience needed in the workforce.

      The ADRA BRIDGE Internship Program is based in the headquarters of ADRA International in Silver Spring, Maryland. Interns will not be placed internationally at this time.

      Internship length:

      Undergraduate/Graduate: 6 Months, beginning in Summer of 2024

      Eligibility

      • Currently studying and is a qualified junior or senior in their undergraduate program
      • Currently in the process of completing or completed a graduate degree
      • 3 to 6months removed from completion of undergraduate or graduate degree
      • Available 20-29 hours a week for a minimum of 12 weeks beginning in June, 2024
      • Legal right to work in the United States
      • Committed to uphold the standards of the Seventh-day Adventist Church

      Preferred

      • Microsoft Office Suite, emphasis on Excel
      • Second language

      Internship Assignment: Business Development Unit

      Responsibilities

      Primary areas of focus: Program Management, Humanitarian Responses, Reporting process.

      Program Management: The intern will support a Sr. Program Manager or a Program Manager in the managerial and coordination tasks with their assigned portfolio. This support will allow the Unit to provide better operational backstopping to the assigned countries.

      Humanitarian Responses: The Unit will have more technical resources to identify and explore new opportunities for Humanitarian Responses, whether they come as a follow-up project or as a new opportunity.

      Reporting process: The Unit will have more technical resources to improve the reporting process based on the donor's request and databases. Additionally, the intern should be able to help identify best practices and write a white paper in coordination with their supervisor.

      New Humanitarian response will be associated with Brazil, Venezuela, and Honduras.
