      Minimum requirement:

      • CT Certification – External Diploma Program/Noncredit Mandated Programs (#107) required
      • Bachelor’s degree

      Job Qualifications:

      • Must understand and adhere to standardized assessment protocol
      • Ability to work with computer-based testing

      General Responsibilities:

      • Provide units and lessons aligned with College and Career Readiness standards
      • Use a multi-faceted approach to assessment of student learning
      • Create a positive learning environment
      • Integrate technology into the classroom using Google Suite, etc.
      • Administer GED READY practice tests to determine strengths and target areas.

      Data Collection/Use and Student Outreach:

      • Create positive relationships/rapport with students
      • Use student goal setting as a means to drive/inform instruction
      • Use relevant testing data to drive instruction
      • Maintain accurate attendance records and submit in a timely manner
      • Initiate contact with students who have lapsed attendance
      • Assist students with test registration and planning as appropriate
      • Professional Development
      • Participate in GED teacher meetings and other required meetings
      • Meet required standards and seek to improve teaching practices through Teacher

      Evaluation Feedback:

      • Participate in professional development workshops and activities.
      • Collaborate with the Director of Adult Education, Program Leader, Program Facilitator and other staff to ensure student success
      • Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Adult Education
