Job Description

- CT Certification – External Diploma Program/Noncredit Mandated Programs (#107) required
- Bachelor’s degree
- Must understand and adhere to standardized assessment protocol
- Ability to work with computer-based testing
- Provide units and lessons aligned with College and Career Readiness standards
- Use a multi-faceted approach to assessment of student learning
- Create a positive learning environment
- Integrate technology into the classroom using Google Suite, etc.
- Administer GED READY practice tests to determine strengths and target areas.
- Create positive relationships/rapport with students
- Use student goal setting as a means to drive/inform instruction
- Use relevant testing data to drive instruction
- Maintain accurate attendance records and submit in a timely manner
- Initiate contact with students who have lapsed attendance
- Assist students with test registration and planning as appropriate
- Professional Development
- Participate in GED teacher meetings and other required meetings
- Meet required standards and seek to improve teaching practices through Teacher
- Participate in professional development workshops and activities.
- Collaborate with the Director of Adult Education, Program Leader, Program Facilitator and other staff to ensure student success
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Adult Education
