      Adult Protective Services Specialist III H26C

      Annual salary: $45,947.21 + Full State Employee Benefits

      Travel is extensive. Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain required car insurance. This position may have on-call hours and/or work extended hours.

      This position plays an integral part in keeping vulnerable Oklahoma adults safe. In this position, you will receive and investigate allegations of abuse, neglect, and exploitation. You will determine the capacity and provide voluntary or involuntary services based on needs, and you'll coordinate service plans, prepare legal forms, attend court hearings, and provide testimony as necessary.

      Minimum Qualifications

      • The applicant may either have a Master's degree plus one year of professional social work experience.
      • OR a bachelor's degree and two years of experience in professional social work.

      Job Responsibilities

      • Conducts investigatory & service planning casework including more difficult cases which can be high profile.
      • Serves as the supervisor designee in the APSS IV’s absence including assigning/reviewing casework & staffing cases with the APS staff.
      • Serves as mentor & coach for new APS staff & assists them in completing training exercises.
      • Prepare case reports and submit them to DA.
