      This position is located in Tishomingo, Ardmore and Waurika, Oklahoma.

      Adult Protective Services Specialist III H26C

      Annual salary: $45,947.21 + Full State Employee Benefits

      Travel is extensive. Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain required car insurance.

      Hours worked may include on-call.


      This position plays an integral part in keeping vulnerable Oklahoma adults safe. In this position, you will receive and investigate allegations of abuse, neglect, and exploitation. You will determine the capacity and provide voluntary or involuntary services based on needs, and you'll coordinate service plans, prepare legal forms, attend court hearings, and provide testimony as necessary.

      Minimum Qualifications

      • The applicant may either have a Master's degree plus one year of professional social work experience.
      • OR a bachelor's degree and two years of experience in professional social work.

      Job Responsibilities

      • The APSS III conducts investigatory & service planning casework including more difficult cases which can be high profile.
      • The APSS III serves as the supervisor designee in the APSS IV’s absence including assigning/reviewing casework & staffing cases with the APS staff.
      • The APSS III serves as mentor & coach for new APS staff & assists them in completing training exercises.
      • The APSS III will prepare case reports and submit to DA
