- Kettering Health Dayton, formerly Grandview Medical Center, has been providing care to Dayton and surrounding communities for over 90 years.
- Over 20 specialties, including orthopedics, heart and vascular, surgery, and trauma services.
- KH Dayton expanded their Emergency Department as well as their heart & vascular services to include an additional catheterization lab and electrophysiology lab.
- Partners with Gem City Market to provide fresh fruits and vegetables every Tuesday within the hospital.
- One of the largest osteopathic teaching hospitals in the United States.

- Demonstrated ability in effectively troubleshooting and repairing of a wide variety of biomedical equipment systems.
- Considerable knowledge of electrical safety and medical safety principles.
- Ability in the interpretation and applicable of hospital codes, standards, and regulations relating to biomed¬ical equipment in hospital environment
- Demonstrable advanced skill in applying electric/electronic circuit theory and operating principles to effectively diagnose biomedical equipment malfunctions.
- Demonstrable knowledge and proficiency in the use of advanced electronic test and measurement instrumentation.
- Knowledge of the theories of operation, the underlying physio¬logic principles, and the practical, safe clinical application of biomedical equipment.
- Knowledge of basic computer theory and skill in effectively using computer systems and applications.
- Skill in the use of tools and materials involved in the repair and maintenance of biomedical equipment.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the practices, procedures, methods, tools, materials, and instrumentation associated with advanced biomedical equipment areas.
- Good communication skills, both oral and written.
- Associate or Bachelors degree in biomedical electronics or related, or a combination of relevant training and experience.
- Minimum of two years work experience as a BMET, with manifest advanced skills and abilities for specific equipment areas.
- Certification by the International Certification Commission for Clinical Engineering and Biomedical Equipment Technicians (preferred).
