      Job summary

      We are looking to expand our team and are seeking a skilled Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) to join our duty team, providing high-quality care for acute and same-day presentations.

      Main duties of the job

      As an Advanced Nurse Practitioner, you will play a key role in delivering urgent and same-day care to patients, ensuring timely assessment, diagnosis, and treatment. Working as part of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide expert clinical care and decision-making, helping to improve patient outcomes.

      Situated in beautiful South Monmouthshire, Caldicot Medical Group is a large innovative training practice serving a population of just over 20,000 patients. The practice is friendly, well organised, high achieving training practice where the GPs are supported by an extended team of a pharmacist, advanced nurse practitioner, minor illness nurses, practice nurses and an administration team.

      A large innovative training practice serving a population of just over 20,000 patients. We work with a total triage system and are continually reviewing and developing our ways of working to best suit our population and staff.

      We are developing our acute service and see a strong Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) team as integral to this. As part of our duty team, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality, timely care for patients with acute and same-day presentations.

      Key Responsibilities
      • Independently assess, diagnose, and manage acute/same-day presentations

      • Work as part of the duty team, supporting urgent patient needs

      • Prescribe medications where required

      • Contribute to the development of our acute service

      • Work collaboratively with the wider clinical team to enhance patient care
