      The Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) is responsible for attending to patients who wish to be seen by a healthcare professional, diagnosing and treating patients presenting with minor illnesses, and advising on continuing medical and nursing needs. The role involves working autonomously and collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to provide flexible, dynamic, and innovative care responsive to the health needs of service users.

      Key Responsibilities:
      • Clinical Practice:Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses, and develop individualised care plans.
      • Prescribing:Independently prescribe medications and treatments within professional competencies.
      • Diagnostics:Order and interpret diagnostic tests and initiate follow-up reviews.
      • Patient Education:Provide expert advice to patients, carers, and colleagues, ensuring clinical excellence.
      • Collaboration:Work in partnership with GPs, consultants, nursing, and social care colleagues to manage patient care.
      • Innovation:Develop new and innovative ways of working to improve care services.
