Overview

Overview: The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) provides specialized care to patients with mental health conditions in collaboration with a psychiatrist(s). The APP assesses patients, interprets diagnostic test/results, and develops and implements treatment plans to address the patient's unique needs in collaboration with other healthcare professionals. This position is outpatient-based, preference to local licensed Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners with one to three years experience in an outpatient psychiatric setting.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities: The APP role requires a high level of clinical expertise and the ability to work with patients who may have complex mental health needs. Provides psychiatric care in the outpatient setting, full time.

Qualifications

Qualifications: Active North Carolina Board of Nursing Nurse Practitioner License, Drug Enforcement Administration License (North Carolina), Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner certification preferred. Physician Assistant-Certified and active North Carolina Medical Board License, Drug Enforcement Administration License (North Carolina) with current/previous experience in outpatient-based psychiatric care.
