Be part of an in-house market research and customer insights focused team that supports the Enbridge Gas utility.
Design and implement market research projects, including quantitative surveys and qualitative studies such as focus groups, usability testing, and independent interviews (IDIs)
Manage all aspects of the research process, including research design, selection of methodology, vendor selection and procurement process, project plan and project management, questionnaire/discussion guide development, analysis, and reporting
Work with third party vendors for fielding, or execute surveys with Qualtrics
Build and maintain relationships with clients and partners across the company to enhance business understanding and ensure research support is relevant and practical
Assist in answering ad-hoc inquiries from internal clients. This often involves synthesizing and summarizing themes and insights from a variety of sources, including past primary research and secondary research
Collaborate with other members of the team to ensure that: research findings from various studies are synthesized for greater value/insight wherever possible; all projects benefit from the special knowledge/expertise held by each team member, lessons learned and evolving standard processes are shared; primary research projects are advised by relevant secondary research
Participate in cross-functional projects where ongoing research support and consultation is required
Ensure good governance of customer data used for market research projects.
Post-secondary degree.
5+ years of experience in the market research field (or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience)
Proven knowledge of research methods and design and proficiency with data analysis
Ability to use Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) for the analysis of research results
Strong project management skills and a detailed understanding of the research process, from beginning to end, including the ability to lead client relationships from proposal through final reporting
Ability to find the story in the numbers, and to sift through qualitative data to extract insights
Creative data visualization and reporting skills – ability to develop reports that tell a clear story and help make customer insights useful
Ability to build collaborative relationships with various internal and external partners
Proven ability to work collaboratively and independently
Knowledge of energy industry including energy efficiency measures/technologies/programs, and/or experience in a regulated environment
Experience working in a supporting role and influencing without authority
Qualtrics Certification
