- Opportunity to deliver Fitness for Work/ Injury Management services across Rio Tinto’s Iron Ore assets.
- Work amongst a passionate, proactive team of Occupational Health Professionals
- FIFO from Perth to Greater Nammuldi & Brockman 4 sites
- 6-month fixed term role: 5/2 – 4/3 roster
- Manage a range of complex fitness for work cases including both work and non-work-related health / medical requirements
- Management of workers compensation claims under the Injury Management and Workers Com Act (1984)
- Provide coaching, development and training to key stakeholders to cement understanding of core fitness for work, injury management, injury classification and reporting processes
- Work closely with internal teams such as HR, HSE, Legal and Employee Relations and contracting partners
- Review of medical assessments determining fitness for role against the RT Medical Guidelines and National Standard for Health Assessment of Rail Safety Workers
- Support the coordination of management of health surveillance programmes
- Identify and support process improvement to standardise and simplify Fit for Work processes
- Partner with external stakeholders such as government regulators, medical/ health providers, workers compensation insurers
- Undertake first party assurance against the Rio Tinto health standards
- Tertiary qualified in allied health or related science field
- Allied health professional body memberships (ie: AHPRA, APA, ESSA)
- Experience in similar role or health disciplines
- Injury management/occupational rehabilitation/ workers compensation industry experience is highly desirable
- Experience in mining or similar heavy industry
- A positive and proactive attitude towards health and wellbeing and a commitment to health and safety
- A track record of partnering well to achieve strategic outcomes
- Project management experience
- Strong communication, engagement and influencing skills
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills

Located 60km north-west of Tom Price, Brockman is wholly owned and operated by Rio Tinto. Opened in 2010, this open pit operation offers a family friendly fly in fly out roster with state-of-the-art camp facilities.
The Greater Brockman Operations consist of Brockman 2, Brockman 4, Nammuldi and Silvergrass. Driving the latest technological advancements, the open-pit mines offer an avenue for opportunity and career progression.
