      Cetera’s Enterprise Training Development team builds impactful learning experiences that enable financial professionals and their teams to optimize their practices. We are learning experts who are more than the tools we use or the courses we create. We seek an Instructional Designer to join our team who is as motivated to learn and develop themself as they are to create learning and development for others. This position will be remote/work from home.

      What You Will Do

      • Build highly engaging learning activities and compelling courses that enhance learning retention.
      • Collaborate with subject matter experts to identify target audience training needs and terminal learning objectives.
      • Assess and interview stakeholders for context critical to determining suggested learning solutions.
      • Design impactful e-learning templates for course development.
      • Create supporting media assets (audio, video, graphics).
      • Build content outlines that detail learning outcomes and the overall learner journey through a course.
      • Investigate, research, and analyze source content and audience.
      • Apply tested instructional design theories, practice, and methods.
      • Map course curriculum to identified learning objectives.
      • Research learning trends and solutions that could benefit learner adoption.

      What You Will Have

      • Experience in instructional design for 4+ years (building interactive e-learning courses, facilitation guides, workshops, video, microlearnings, simulations, role plays, and/or other training materials)
      • Experience with course authoring tools like Articulate (Storyline and Rise) or Captivate
      • Experience with media development tools like Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Audition, Illustrator, etc.) and video editing software (Camtasia)
      • Strong time management and organizational skills, with the ability to independently manage multiple projects in a fast paced, dynamic environment
      • Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with peers, SMEs, and other business partners

      What Is Nice To Have

      • Experience in pitching, writing, and persuading with creative briefs
      • Advanced knowledge of media production processes and workstreams (i.e. experience with AfterEffects and motion graphics)
      • Financial services knowledge is a plus, but not required
