- Lean Portfolio Management 17: Salaries typically range from $83,037 to $110,717 annually, based on qualifications and experiences, plus a performance-based incentive.
- Lean Portfolio Management 18: Salaries typically range from $94,664 to $126,218 annually, based on qualifications and experiences, plus a performance-based incentive.
- Export Development Canada operates in a hybrid work environment, currently requiring employees to work in the office 2 days per week. (subject to change)
- This role can be performed from EDC’s headquarters in Ottawa or from one of our Community Hubs located in Toronto, Mississauga, Montreal, Brossard or Laval.

- Define, execute, and sustain the integrated technology target state, target data model and technology operations required to enable EDC’s 2030 business transformation.
- Establish and manage the rolling 3 Year Digital Roadmap that sequences the technology outcomes required to achieve the technology target state and facilitate its execution across all domains in the organization.
- Keep pace with industry trends and emerging technologies, ensuring EDC has access to the digital technology tools it needs to stay relevant in the market and grow Canadian global trade.
- Lead and ensure integrated digital, data, infrastructure, and cybersecurity implementations to create excellent customer, user, and employee experiences.
- Manage IT Portfolio Management: Manage and optimize the IT Portfolio Management function and capability to ensure effective service delivery.
- Continuous Process Improvement : Evaluate current processes and identify areas for continuous improvement.
- Best Practices Implementation : Implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance IT portfolio management.
- IT Portfolio Reporting: Develop and implement IT delivery portfolio dashboards and reports to track performance. Provide regular updates and detailed reports to IT Leaders, IT Delivery Teams, and stakeholders on portfolio performance and progress.
- Stakeholder Management : Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and collaboration.
- Change Management : Manage changes to the IT portfolio, ensuring alignment with business and technology objectives, and coordinate with IT and other departments for smooth implementation.
- Workshop Facilitation : Plan and facilitate workshops to engage IT delivery teams and stakeholders, fostering collaboration and innovation.
- IT Portfolio Management Optimization : Oversee and enhance the IT Portfolio Management function to ensure effective service delivery and alignment with strategic goals.
- Continuous process improvement : Evaluate current processes, identify areas for improvement, and implement innovative solutions to enhance IT portfolio management.
- Best Practices Application : Apply best practices and cutting-edge methodologies to optimize IT portfolio management and drive efficiency.
- Stakeholder Management : Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment, collaboration, and effective communication.
- Workshop Facilitation : Plan and facilitate workshops to engage IT delivery teams and stakeholders, fostering collaboration, innovation, and strategic thinking.
- Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline
- Certifications: PMP, PfMP, CPM, DASM or other related certification
- Minimum 5 years’ experience (Advisor – Level 17) or 7 years’ (Senior Advisor – Level 18) experience in program and portfolio management and managing an IT Portfolio function.
- Extensive experience managing complex and multiple projects.
- Experienced in managing changes and coordinating with different departments for smooth implementation.
- Working knowledge of ITIL and Governance of Enterprise IT.
- Ability to identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with IT projects and portfolios.
- Experience in analyzing data, generating insights, and making informed decisions to optimize portfolio performance, including the ability to create dashboards and reports to track performance.
- Excellent communication (written, verbal, presentation, facilitation) and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledgeable in using methods like Lean, Six Sigma, Agile, and ITIL to enhance IT portfolio management.
- Great at building and maintaining strong relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure everyone is aligned and communicates well.
- Continuous improvement mindset.
- Experience in building dashboards and reports using PowerBI
- Bilingual in both official languages (French and English)
