      ADVISOR, PEOPLE EXPERIENCE

      Tsawwassen

      18 month Term Certain

      BC Ferries is focused on the future of what it means to be an integrated HR team and we are looking for professionals committed to continual improvement and engaged HR practices.

      As a Human Resource professional working with a team in one of our major terminals, you are a self-starter who thrives as a generalist within a team environment. Based on past knowledge, you provide progressive human resource guidance and take great pride in fostering and coaching excellence in people management practices.

      You provide expertise in the areas of internal recruitment and selection, employee and union relations, performance management, employee development, collective agreement interpretation and application and have a strong focus in short and long term disability management; adjudication and application . A change agent, you welcome and create opportunities to promote high performance and optimize productivity in a fast-paced unionized environment.

      Your background includes a post-secondary diploma or degree in Human Resources or a related field, and/or at least 3 years of progressive generalist experience in a human resources function. You have well developed verbal and written communication skills, are well organized and you are a self-starter who is able to work independently. You demonstrate sensitivity, objectivity, confidentiality and professionalism when handling all human resources issues. You must be proficient using Microsoft Suite, and experience with a Human Resources Information System will be considered an asset.

      Additional information

      This is a Term Certain position with a salary range of $81,000 to $101,000 per annum. The starting salary will be based on the successful candidate’s competencies, including but not limited to experience, education and performance related to this role.
