      As a purchasing and procurement advisor, you help finalize contractual agreements with the organization’s partners for the purchase and rental of goods and services. Your responsibilities may include one or more sub-specialties, such as the strategic sourcing and procurement of goods and services, asset management, contract and partnership management, inventory and restocking, outsourced service management, and governance. You advise and assist clients and partners on important development projects and initiatives. You propose solutions to improve or optimize standards, policies and programs. Your projects and initiatives require extensive knowledge of your line of work. You prepare recommendations, solutions and action plans based on the organization’s objectives and priorities. You help solve complex problems requiring comprehensive analysis and knowledge of your line of business. Coordination is critical, so you frequently interact with stakeholders working in other fields. You liaise with external partners and providers and help establish business relationships and partnerships. More specifically, you will be required to:

      • Analyze and identify client needs

      • Diagnose issues and challenges to determine target outcomes

      • Perform specialized analysis, conduct studies, write reports and make recommendations

      • Carry out operational follow-up and monitoring, including monitoring of external provider performance

      • Help develop, enforce, update and improve the policies, processes, standards and models that support your unit’s projects and initiatives

      • Evaluate results, benefits and service quality

      • Issue and implement cost-cutting and performance improvement recommendations

      • Represent your unit before committees

      What you bring to the table

      • Bachelor's degree in a related field

      • A minimum of four years of relevant experience

      • Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered

      • Knowledge of French is required

      • Advanced proficiency of English due to the nature of the duties or work tools or because the position involves interactions with English-speaking partners, members and/or clients
