- Support the Aeronautics Mission Integration Office Cybersecurity team.
- Provide inputs to the Cybersecurity Management Plan.
- Integrate System Security Architectures with System Engineering plans.
- Report weekly on OT Security activities between all stakeholders.
- Experience in developing security requirements, security architectures, and data security plans
- Experience working on NASA projects
- Familiarity with NIST 800-160 and STAMP STPA-Sec
- Experience leading teams and executing security strategies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Highly motivated and able to work independently
- Committed to successful collaboration with the NASA team and partners
- Experience in audits and compliance
- Experience working with the NASA Aeronautics Research Mission Directorate
- Additional certification in information and security management
- Bachelor’s degree with more than 20 years of experience
- Proof of U.S. Citizenship or U.S. Permanent Residency is a requirement for this position.

HX5 is currently seeking an Aerospace Cybersecurity Systems Engineer to join our team in Cleveland, Ohio in support of the GEARS contract at NASA Glenn Research Center.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The selected candidate will support the NASA Aeronautics Research Mission Directorate (ARMD) in the areas of Operational Technology (OT) Security, Risk Management, Systems Security Engineering (SSE), and management services to support the ARMD Cybersecurity team.
As a member of the ARMD Cybersecurity team, the chosen candidate will provide outreach and guidance to the Aeronautics Mission Directorate and their stakeholders, through all projects phases to facilitate application of SSE from pre-formation through project closeout. Primarily, the selected candidate will be responsible for the following:
This effort is monitored by the Aeronautics and Ground-Based Systems Branch at NASA GRC, which provides systems engineering leadership and system architect leadership roles to enable aeronautics programs and projects as well as ground-based programs and projects involving the application of NASA technologies.
