AeroX Engineer
Purpose of the Job
The AeroX Engineer will participate in project/offer development through the application of engineering instructions,
guidelines and established internal processes of the AeroX domain.
Standard CFD simulations within the frame of the projects using standard tools (STAR-CCM+, START, etc).
Advanced CFD simulations requiring Multi-Physics approach: Thermal, Fluid-structure interaction, aero-acoustics,etc…
R&D activities defined in the CCN road mapNetwork & Links
AeroX Core Competence Network
Link with other experts, Acoustic, Thermal, Comfort, Structural & Railway Dynamics, etcResponsibilities
Perform CFD analyses in pre-design phase using standard tools and based on available design concepts
Prepare AeroX Management Plan for project phase, in collaboration with AeroX site experts
Predict Aerodynamic performance (Resistance to Motion, Pressure head pulse, Pressure waves, Crosswind response, etc...) using standard CFD methodologies defined by AeroX CCN
Predict Aero-thermal and internal aerodynamics performance (Cooling, Heating, Ventilation, ducts pressure drop, climate control in drivers cabin and passenger compartment,etc…)
Prepare Transverse Requirement Specifications (TRS)
Liaise with AeroX engineers in sites to gather relevant REX
Participate in R&D projects and work packagesKnowledge & Experience :
Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering degree Bsc/Msc, or equivalent
Good knowledge of at least one leading CFD package (STAR-CCM+, CFX, FLUENT, PowerFLOW, etc…)
Good knowledge of general fluid mechanics, thermal management, and fluid structure interaction
Management skills to lead R&D actions with a transversal approach
Good communication skills, pro-activity, team working, strategic vision
English conversational/writing/reading advanced level mandatory
French conversational/reading advanced level is preferred
