Under limited supervision, this position researches, analyzes and reports on production and quality functions for the financial aid operations department. The Financial Aid Operations Reporting Analyst is responsible for workflow and performance management reporting, Dashboards and SOP documentation.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Prepares and oversees the preparation of internal and external financial and administrative reports.
2. Prepares and oversees functions related to financial aid operations, such as production tracking, reporting and analysis to provide to management.
3. Manages the collection of monthly operational data for financial aid operations leadership team.
4. Coordinates projects and action plans through documentation and by providing follow-up to ensure items are completely accurately and timely.
5. Assists in documentation and management of administrative processes affecting the financial aid operational areas.
6. Provides coordination and analysis on projects within financial aid operations.
7. Provides analytical strategy during the implementation of new processes, procedures and technology changes.
8. Provides workflow and performance management reports and analysis on a consistent basis or on request of management.
9. Responsible for troubleshooting potential performance or production issues and providing data findings to leadership.
10. Performs data consolidation, data analysis and reporting to provide clear and understandable reporting to leadership
11. Contributes to the development of reporting dashboards to leadership.
12. Performs one or more phases of reporting including coordination, monitoring, logging, tracking and resolving request appropriately and within established parameters and ensure user expectations are met.
13. Contributes to report design using best practices to meet business needs.
14. Collaborates within a team environment to examine the unique needs and concerns of a business to develop relevant processes and procedures for preparing and delivering reports.
15. Must work the scheduled shift hours assigned; additionally, may be required to work hours, including potential weekend hours, in addition to scheduled shift hours, as business needs dictate.
16. Performs other duties as assigned or apparent.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
1. Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution is preferred.
2. Must have general knowledge of internal policies and procedures.
3. Must be flexible and adaptable to frequent changes to regulations, policies and procedures.
4. Must be computer literate and able to learn proprietary software applications.
5. Must possess interpersonal and communication skills.
6. Ability to demonstrate and support ethical behavior and adheres to compliance requirements.
7. Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently and effectively.
8. Data compilation and analysis experience is preferred.
9. General knowledge of the higher education industry is preferred.
10. Previous customer service or processing center experience is preferred.

The hourly pay rate range is $16.01 (minimum), $22.45 (midpoint), and $28.89 (maximum). The annualized amount, not including eligible overtime pay, is $34,700 (minimum), $48,600 (midpoint), and $62,500 (maximum).**Typical hiring range is between the minimum and midpoint of the above pay range.
