      Description

      The AFI SSI is committed to empowering a group of high school students with a passion for learning and a focus on excellence in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) and clinical and translational dentistry. We provide access to rigorous educational opportunities, hands-on research experiences, and mentorship that foster intellectual curiosity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. By creating a supportive and inclusive environment, we aim to inspire the next generation of leaders and innovators in STEM and dentistry, equipping students to make meaningful contributions to oral and overall healthcare, our communities, and the world at large.

      Dates :

      July 7 - August 15, 2025 (6 weeks)

      Program Includes:

      Position is 35 hours per week, M-F

      An MBTA transportation pass is provided


      How to apply :

      • Complete the on-line application including: resumé, transcript, short answer questions, at least 1 letter of reference from a Teacher/ Counselor/ Coach.
      • Selected candidates may be invited for a virtual interview.


      Requirements

      • Currently enrolled in 9th, 10th, or 11th grade at the time of application in the Eastern Massachusetts/Boston area.
      • Must display a demonstrated interest in pursuing a career in STEM or oral health professions.
      • Must be able to commit to the full duration of the program, between 9 am – 5 pm, in person, 35 hours per week.
