      Job Description

      The Operations Associate will be a member of the Dalberg Advisors Africa Operations team. Reporting to the Africa Operations Partner, the Associate will provide support to the Africa Finance and Human Resource teams in addition to conducting general day-to-day administrative functions. This is a one-year contract role with option to extend depending on performance and business needs.

      Support to Finance and HR functions

      • Assist with system compliance including but not limited to tracking timesheet and expense filings and following up with staff who have missing data, managing annual leave accruals and end of year carry forward leave accruals, troubleshooting ERP issues with staff
      • Coordinate with the Finance team to ensure prompt and accurate payroll and tax filing as well as payments to vendors
      • Support the HR team in ensuring all staff have the required work permits and contracts to operate in country of residence
      • Support employee onboarding and off-boarding including equipment setup, training scheduling (i.e., global and regional onboarding modules and other trainings), and sign-up for internal systems
      • Coordinate with health insurance providers to ensure all new joiners are added to the plan and premiums account for new hires and exists
      • Assist with ad-hoc requests from the Finance and HR teams

      Administrative duties

      • Manage procurement, invoicing and filing for admin-related goods and services
      • Manage acquisition and ensure proper maintenance of office equipment (e.g., laptops, phones, office supplies)
      • Support key meetings and events overseeing all necessary logistical functions e.g., booking venues, managing contractors, setting up and hosting remote meetings, managing transport logistics
      • Support office setup across the region as needed

      About You

      • Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university in Business Administration, Commerce, Procurement, Human Resource, Secretarial Studies or a related field
      • 3-5 years of work experience in a similar position providing support to office management, procurement, human resource and administration
      • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
      • Ability to multi-task and work independently with minimal supervision
      • Superior organizational and time management skills
      • Experience managing multiple stakeholders and working with senior management
      • Experience working in consulting or in a professional services firm
      • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
