      About the Role

      The After School Group Leader is the right-hand helper to our Site Director, making sure every child feels safe, supported, and excited to be part of Y-Care. From leading activities to keeping the environment clean and welcoming, you'll play a key role in creating a place where kids thrive.

      This year-round, 5 day a week part-time role delivers before and after school programming with average hours depending on time of year and school location. While school is in session, August – June, start times vary based on school dismissal time. This includes additional hours on early release days, ACT Days and conference days where school dismissal can be as early as 10:30AM. Seasonal breaks are also included in working hours.       • Keep things running smoothly, from taking attendance to tidying up.

      Qualifications


      Must-Haves or Must-Gets

      • CPR/First Aid Certification within 30 days of hire.
      • New Employee Orientation within 45 days of hire.

      • 30 hours DCYF STARS training and high school/college transcripts/

      • MMR vaccine records & a negative TB test.

      • Pass MERIT background check and fingerprinting.

      • Complete YMCA New Employee Orientation and CPR within 45 days.
