- Supervises, plans, assigns, coordinates and monitors the work of all volunteers & staff working for the Corps After-School Programs and Summer Day Camps; instructs and trains volunteers & staff in the proper methods and procedures
- Provides leadership and constant care for the needs of the children in an efficient, clean, loving, safe, secure, and healthy manner.
- Selects, plans, and facilitates activities for school age children; ensures that activities are age appropriate, stimulating, fun and safe for the children.
- Assists in facilitating and supervising Summer, Spring and Winter day camp Programs.
- Actively engages with the community to recruit volunteers, organize volunteer groups and seek out resources to support the After-School Program.
- Bachelor’s degree in child development, Early Childhood Education or any related field, and
- Two years’ experience teaching child development programs in a church or pre-school, or
- Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- Child Care Certificate/Training as required by program guidelines
- Valid state driver's license

Location: Daytona Beach Corps- Daytona Beach, FL
Position Type: Regular Full-Time, 40 hours per week
Pay Range: $21.00-$24.00/hour
About this opportunity:
Plans, supervises and directs the day-to-day operations of the Corps After-School Programs and Summer Day Camps; plans, and provides activities and childcare services for school-age children participating in the After School and/or Summer Day Camp Programs; plans, develops, and facilitates recreational activities and play time; prepares and maintains program records; maintains cleanliness and orderliness of Center’s property.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
Manual dexterity. Ability to sit, walk, and stand on a frequent change basis in order to perform the duties of this position. Ability to lift objects weighing between 25-50 lbs. Must be self-directed with ability to tolerate frequent interruptions.
Work is performed in an indoor and outdoor recreational environment where there may be physical discomforts associated with changes in weather or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like.
