What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide taxation support to clients via telephone and email for various tax software for Professionals and Consumers
- Utilize active listening skills to manage and diffuse customer interactions
- Implement company policies and procedures to resolve routine customer issues
- Log customer orders for product purchases and participate in software quality control testing
- Write standard responses for frequently asked questions (FAQ) and identify recurring client issues for escalation
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience in customer service
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
- Strong knowledge of income tax and customer service orientation
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively and manage multiple priorities
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- University degree in taxation, accounting, finance, or a related field
- Graduate of the H&R Block tax course
- Familiarity with corporate income tax (T2/CO-17) and/or trust (T3/TP-646) regulations
- Interest in taxation and experience in an accounting office
