What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Conduct research and development to create agentic systems addressing domain-specific problems in various scientific fields
- Develop software infrastructure to support the creation of agentic systems
- Ensure compliance of research activities with institutional, state, and federal regulatory policies
- Lead the definition and documentation of requirements, architecture, and design of secure, scalable systems
- Present research findings at meetings and conferences
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum educational requirement: College or university degree in a related field
- 5-7 years of work experience in a related job discipline
- Knowledge of principles of API design, asynchronous processes, and service deployment
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Strong problem-solving skills related to project administration and methodology adaptation
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience leading the design, development, and publication of innovative AI/ML projects
- Relevant programming experience with Python for developing and maintaining applications
- Experience in training ML models using large-scale and specialized hardware
- Familiarity with high-performance computing and distributed data management systems
- Competence in engineering modular workflows for agents and enhancing system autonomy
