What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Manage land-base inventory to ensure operational requirements and strategic growth
- Prepare permit applications and nutrient management plans as needed for various sites
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and permit conditions through monitoring and reporting
- Provide technical information and presentations to farmers, regulatory agencies, and the public
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with current and future customers and regulators
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture or Environmental Science preferred, or an Associate’s degree in related fields; real-world agricultural experience will be considered
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in the Agricultural or Environmental industry
- Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record (no serious tickets or accidents in the last 5 years, and no DWI/DUI in the last 10 years)
- Knowledge of biosolids and lime management practices and regulations
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact effectively with all levels of personnel
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Certification as a Certified Crop Advisor (CAA) is recommended but not required
- Past experience with Variable Rate Technology (VRT)
- Demonstrated problem-solving and relationship-building skills
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail
