- Responsible for sales objectives for a defined set of retails, conducting business with professionalism, safe working practices and stewardship in the territory.
- Using Climate FieldView, position and support Bayer seed, trait, and row crop CP (crop protection) portfolio while delivering tailored agronomic solutions to growers and retail to meet or exceed territory targets
- Create annual territory business plan for communication/alignment with a defined territory on activities to prioritize support for the success of the business
- Manage territory budgets
- Explore additional business opportunities (product and organizational) within the territory to maximize Bayer’s position

- Primary responsibility for assigned growers and first line of contact for all technical inquiries coming from retail with support from TSA where needed
- Support all Row Crop CP product inquiries
- Support all Seed product performance inquiries
- Execute field scale testing programs
- Programs include field testing of commercial Bayer seed products
- Support and planning with growers to plant trials, collect required data, maintain trials as needed, and harvest trials
- Data management, quality review and timely submission of trial results using Commercial Trialing Tool
- Technical support and training for strategic retail partners
- Work with Bayer commercial team to achieve local business objectives through technical support and training
- In-field and classroom agronomic training for key retails
- Proactively support retails for grower demand events and other face-to-face promotional activities
- Build profile as technical expert in territory
- Build presence with key growers, retails, and 3rd party consultants
- Participate in industry events and organizations where appropriate
- Create awareness with digital media as a technical expert for corn, cereals, and soybean production
- BSc, BComm in Agriculture or related discipline with minimum of 2 years of related experience
- Possess or ability to attain either a CCSC and a CCA/P.Ag or OAQ (QC) designation
- Strong interpersonal, team and English communication skills – presentation, written, verbal and listening, to maximize results with both internal and external customers.
- Understands key customer needs
- Excellent understanding of crop production, agronomy for corn, soybeans, and cereals.
- Experience using digital agricultural software tools to manage, interpret and leverage data
- Current knowledge of the Crop Protection and Seed industry companies and their products
- Strong work ethic and ability to prioritize work with minimal supervision
- Excellent problem solving through analytical thinking in complex situations with minimal guidance
- Willing to make frequent visits to key influencers in territory (independent agronomists, etc.)
- Ability to organize and execute a high-quality, field scale commercial seed trial programs
- Advanced computer and database skills with ability to use MS Office Suite
- Valid driver’s license in good standing
- Ability to effectively supervise and coach Summer Students

Agronomic Solutions Advisor, S.W. Ontario
The Agronomic Solutions Advisor is jointly responsible to achieve or exceed territory sales targets by leveraging digital tools and agronomic expertise to position, support, and service the full Bayer portfolio of seed, crop protection and new business models. They will champion Bayer as the leading manufacturer for innovation, technology, and stewardship for seeds, traits, and crop protection in agriculture. This role will generate demand directly with key customers, as well as enable retail sales staff to promote and recommend the Bayer portfolio.
There are 2 permanent positions available! These are home-based roles with local travel.
