AI in scene capture and navigation / Auto and Radar / DB for ML training (physics-based approach to rapid radar signal reconstruction using neural networks; development and validation of AI data processing to improve radar sensors; data pipeline and databases for the collection of radar data)
Model optimization for embedded systems (quantization, pruning, compression etc.)
New training and optimization on embedded systems (quantization-conscious training, hardware accelerators with INT8 and/or mixed-precision computing capability)
Federated Learning (privacy-preserving use case from image processing in a fleet of several end devices)
AI and Functional Safety (proving absence of systematic errors in an application, esp. after quantization etc.)
Developing and utilizing external networks towards academia, industry and policy makers
Monitoring execution of subsidy projects in close co-operation with involved businesses and competence centers until successful audit and closure
Ph.D University degree
Solid project management and monitoring understanding
Preferably experience in funding programs
Very good skills in English on both writing and communication
An open and positive attitude with demonstrated community building skills
High sense of initiative and responsibility
A team player with excellent interpersonal skills
Software engineering: good skills in lower-level (C/C++, ...) and higher-level (Python, ...)
Backend / cloud engineering: MLOps, database management, data engineering / data architect
Good skills any AI-related tools/technologies such as AWS

WHAT YOU’LL DO
As a member of the CTO organization, you’ll join NXP’s team of specialists to lay the groundwork for product innovation. Teams within the CTO organization supply the company with the advanced ideas and solutions for products that sense, think, connect, and act– while always collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to meet customer objectives. This role gives you the authority and opportunity to enable NXP’s colleagues, customers, and partners to create breakthroughs that advance the world.
Specifically in the PCP (Public Cooperative Programs) team you work in a global environment together with colleagues all around the world. You like to engage internally with our R&D organization and externally with other high tech companies, research institutes and universities? Then you are right positioned in our team! Get known to our latest technology roadmaps and find partners for joint undertakings! Artificial intelligence, our leading edge 5nm processors, security and safety, autonomous driving are examples for activities we further develop with our expert teams and external partners. You will be part of an exciting community that work in state-of-the-art projects and beyond. Since you lead such benchmark projects you are at the core of our high tech world. All that with close relationships with the country authorities and national and international research and development funding platforms.

NXP PCP is well recognized as a supportive and innovative organization with an highly cooperative way of working. We are a expert team with high energy, an open collaboration environment and eagerness to catch exciting projects with internal and external partners mapping well to our R&D roadmap. As part of the Innovation Management department in the CTO organization you work in close collaboration with the full spread of our technology teams, business lines and support functions. Your projects do have high visibility since you support the growth of our R&D organization by receiving government subsidies.
