What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Collaborate with seasoned professionals to develop applications of AI and Machine Learning in news gathering and production
- Work in a cloud environment on data-related tasks such as collection, formatting, and distribution
- Create systems that interface with language models to assist journalists in their workflows
- Gain valuable insight into complex problems relevant to the news industry
- Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical users
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Currently pursuing a degree in AI, Machine Learning, Computer Science, Computer/Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline
- Strong interest in creating software systems utilizing Machine Learning and Generative AI in a cloud environment
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with diverse audiences
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently or as part of an agile development team
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with cloud computing environments
- Familiarity with AI and Machine Learning frameworks and tools
- Knowledge of software development best practices and agile methodologies
- Previous internship or project experience in a related field
