- Act as primary service provider for AIR-managed ENR2 room/space reservation system by responding promptly to reservation requests, scheduling room access, seeking creative solutions when space is limited, and fairly and consistently enforcing reservation policies;
- Serve as primary point of contact for room/space inquiry visits, show rooms and room features to prospective users, and provide general oversight for ENR2 rooms managed by AIR;
- Maintain thorough understanding of the size, technology functions, and limitations of all rooms to advise users based on needs. Additionally, coordinate with Classroom Technology Services (CTS) to ensure AV functionality in main rooms and that they can provide technology training to room users;
- Work alongside ENR2 Building Manager to manage overall building access and address facilities issues relative to room/space users;
- Serve as ENR2 Ambassador and a primary contact for information about the building, along with serving as one of the lead contacts for ENR2 building tours, thus maintaining familiarity with the building’s design, green features, and related on-site projects;
- Regularly update AIR room/space reservation policies and AIR room/space reservations webpage.
- Help develop and lead in the organization and execution of AIR-wide events, including programming and logistics;
- Coordinate with all AIR programs to provide logistical support for their events, ranging from a single guest speaker event to multi-day conferences or workshops. This may include managing and securing event space, coordinating with CTS on A/V technology, catering, parking, event materials, signage, disability-related accommodations and/or additional event staff, and on-site support as needed;
- Coordinate with all AIR programs to stay abreast of upcoming events (virtual, in-person and hybrid), including the extent of support that will be needed by the AIR Operations team and potential support conflicts between concurrent events;
- For virtual and hybrid events, set up virtual software link (Zoom, etc.) and coordinate roles such as hosting or breakout room management, sharing chat prompts or other resources, managing participants, etc.
- Provide backup support for in-person AIR Operations Team needs, including routing incoming mail, tracking office supply needs, printer assistance, conference room set-up for meetings, occasionally assisting ENR2 staff/faculty with office access, etc.
- Hire, supervise and collaborate with one student employee who will serve as an AIR Operations Assistant and the ENR2 Student Ambassador;
- Co-manage the ENR2 Instagram account with student employee.
- Additional duties may be assigned.
- Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing, and coordinate with AIR/UA campus faculty, researchers, staff and students, and individuals beyond the campus community

- Strong computer literacy and software management experience

- Familiarity with University of Arizona campus and campus programs
- Fundamental knowledge of the use of A/V equipment such as video conferencing systems with projectors, TVs, cameras, etc.
- Interest in the environment
- High school diploma or equivalent, or equivalent learning attained through experience required and a Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Bachelor’s degree
- Experience with Excel and editing website pages in Content Management Systems (CMS) such as Drupal or WordPress

This motivated, detail-oriented position will work with program staff to provide logistical event support to the 15 programs and centers within AIR (located in the Environment and Natural Resources 2 building, certified Leed Platinum), and coordinate and convene campus-wide events hosted by AIR. This position will also serve as the ENR2 Ambassador through the oversight of AIR's 11 publicly available event spaces located in the building, which includes managing the room reservation system, assisting the building manager in scheduling building access, showing space to potential users, and coordinating with various campus departments including Facilities Management, Real Estate, Risk Management, and Classroom Technology Services (CTS) to ensure university policies and event needs are simultaneously met. The Ambassador also serves as one of the primary contacts for questions about the ENR2 building and conducts tours. As a key member of the AIR Operations Team, the position will also provide administrative support to AIR as needed and manage one student employee.
