Air Quality Project Director

Hybrid/Remote – Texas | Full-Time, Permanent

We are seeking an experienced Air Quality Project Director to join our dynamic environmental consulting team. This is a hybrid/remote role based in Texas. Candidates must have a strong technical background in air quality and environmental compliance, with an Engineering degree required (Environmental or Chemical preferred). Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred, but not required.

Note: Bringing an existing book of business is not required. We welcome candidates with strong consulting or industry backgrounds who are ready to lead and grow within our organization.

About the Role

In this leadership role, you will leverage your environmental consulting expertise and project management skills to deliver high-quality air quality permitting and compliance services to clients. You’ll work closely with a collaborative business development team to identify and grow new opportunities—no need to bring your own client list.

Responsibilities

• Lead the execution of complex air quality permitting and compliance projects.
• Manage client relationships, project teams, and budgets, ensuring technical excellence and regulatory compliance.
• Mentor and develop junior staff while supporting a culture of growth and collaboration.
• Collaborate with company leadership to shape strategy, technical direction, and business planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Environmental or Chemical required); Master’s degree is a plus.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in environmental consulting or relevant industry role. (Will also consider 5+ years for Project Manager Level Roles)
• PE license preferred.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state air quality regulations, particularly in Texas; experience in refining, chemical manufacturing, or oil & gas is a plus.
• Proficiency in project management tools like Microsoft Project and Excel.
