      Our Engineering apprenticeship is a four-year commitment that will be comprised of a combination of TAFE, in-house courses and practical training. You will move through areas of the relevant business applicable to the relevant trade where you will receive training on the Networks fleet of Fokker 100 and Airbus 320.

      Depending on your chosen trade, typically your role will include;

      Avionics Apprentice- maintain, inspects and undertakes fault diagnostics of electrical, instrument and radio systems and accessories on the aircraft. These include power generation and distribution systems, ignition and engine monitoring systems, autopilot and integrated flight systems, environmental control systems, radar and communication systems and in-flight entertainment

      Mechanical Apprentice - maintain, inspect and undertake fault diagnosis of airframe, engine systems and mechanical components and accessories on aircraft. These include undercarriage, wheels and brakes, pressurisation, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, flight control systems, engine control systems and pressurisation and environmental control systems.

      You’ll have –

      • A demonstrated mechanical aptitude with an eagerness to learn a hands-on trade

      • A high level of motivation and passion to want to be part of the aviation sector

      • Exceptional teamwork

      • Excellent communications skills both verbal and written

      • Good hand skills with the ability to use a variety of tooling

      • Australian Citizenship or hold Australian Permanent Residency Status

      • Ability to work all shift patterns

      • Must be available to commence from Early 2024
