      Job title: Airframe Capability Design Engineer

      Location: Warton (Samlesbury/Prestwick/Brough) - We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements

      Salary: £45,326+ (dependent on skills and experience)

      What you’ll be doing

      · Lead and support the design discipline sub-skill capability responsible for generating, testing and delivering the sub-skill capabilities required for the business’ future needs and aspirations

      · Ensure the design discipline capabilities comply with governance and quality standards

      · Engagement with internal and external stakeholders to the design discipline capability ensuring that Airframe is effectively integrated with the other Engineering capabilities and disciplines achieved

      · Ensure the work is delivered to cost and schedule, working with customers and suppliers to resolve queries and maintain schedule

      Your skills and experiences:

      · A degree in a STEM subject or equivalent relevant experience (preferably with Aerospace/Airframe Engineering focus)

      · Experience of design discipline sub-skill capabilities, preferably with a level of delegated authority

      · Experience generating and embedding new capabilities

      The Airframe Capability team:

      The Airframe Capability Design Engineer will lead in one of several design discipline sub-skills as a Discipline Capability SME (structures, mechanical systems, fluid systems, electrical systems, assembly etc) to deliver the capability requirements of future design and the Airframe aspects of project Agnostic. This encompasses the development of appropriate tool vendors, generation of methods and processes, and the endorsement of training for Airframe Engineers

      The ideal candidate will demonstrate a proactive approach to problem solving with the ability to generate engineering requirements and have an opportunity to create new ways of working, utilising new technologies for future products
