Job Description
- Req#: 153197
- Completes assigned internal IS-BAO audits and enters all non-conformances into the Corrective Action Program system. Responsible for creating and implementing corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives, and actively supports IS-BAO implementation
- Monitors forecast and current weather conditions affecting assigned flights
- Coordinates and communicates with the ground crews to ensure proper and safe pre/post-flight operations.
- Participates in department meetings and completes project work, training, and programmatic work as directed by leadership and senior pilot staff.
- Performs all required preflight/flight/post-flight operational checklists and ensures pre/post flight inspections are completed.
- Monitors airplane systems and instrumentation to ensure proper and accurate airplane performance.
- Calculates and monitors fuel consumption, ensures sufficient fuel for flight plans, and oversees airplane loading and fueling.
- Inspects and verifies passenger, cargo, and fuel loading to ensure that weight and balance specifications comply with all PG&E guidelines, FAA regulations, and Federal, State, and local laws.
- Accurately communicates with air traffic control and complies with all clearances and instructions. Responds to and reports all in-flight emergencies and malfunctions
- High School or GED-General Educational Development-GED Diploma
- Flight experience, total flight time, 1,500 hours
- Flight experience, turbine, 100 hours
- Meets instrument recency experience requirements in section 61.57
- FAA-Federal Aviation Administration CPL-Commercial Pilot license
- FAA-Federal Aviation Administration Instrument Rating certification
- FAA-Federal Aviation Administration Medical 2nd Class certification
- Airplane Single Engine Land (SEL) and Airplane Multi Engine Land (MEL)
- LIDAR, or similar flight experience
- Fingerprinting, 10 years, FAA-Federal Aviation Administration and TSA- Transportation Security Administration
- Annual PIC-Pilot In Command proficiency ride exam in type of craft operated
- Travel availability
- Associates Degree or equivalent experience
- Flight experience, multi-engine, 250 hours
- First Aid and CPR certification
- FAA-Federal Aviation Administration ATPL-Airline Transport Pilot license
- UPRT - Upset Prevention and Recovery Training
- Record of NBAA-National Business Aviation Association PDP-Professional Development Program training completion

Shared Services is focused on ensuring the safe and reliable services to all of our Functional Area partners. Aviation Services provides Aerial Survey throughout the PG&E service area as necessary to meet Company objectives. Our Aviation Services group provides Aerial Survey (UAV & Fixed Wing) services to all Functional Areas in the PG&E territory.Position Summary
Pilots Company airplanes for company needs, including patrol, the transportation of passengers and cargo. Ensures all airplane personnel and passengers are in adherence and compliance with all PG&E guidelines, Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations, and Federal, State, and local laws. Collaborates with the flight team to ensure compliance, safety, and cleanliness of an airplane. Responds to and reports all in-flight emergencies and malfunctions. Conducts all required flight planning and inspects airplane for defects and malfunctions.
PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity.
A reasonable salary range is:Bay Area Minimum: $118,000
