      Job Description

      Schedule: Part-time, driving required, multiple schedules available, must have weekend availability.

      Pay: $28.08 / hour

      As an Armed Security Officer, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, Healthcare, Education, Government and more.

      Responsibilities:

      • Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out safety and security procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
      • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem solving manner.
      • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by client site.

      Minimum Requirements:

    • Must be at least 22 years of age.
    • High school graduate or equivalent (copy to be submitted)
    • Six-month State of Hawaii MVR records
    • Pass ONE-TIME physical within the past 6 months.
    • Pass 12-panel drug test.
    • Physical Agility test involves the carrying of fire extinguisher and lifting a small child and lifting a handicapped person.
    • Must be able to pass a background check to obtain an AOA badge.
    • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.*A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
    • Complete one of the approved programs:
      • Certified State, County or Federal law enforcement recruit
      • Director approved programs.
    • Each LEO will possess the following minimum qualifications:
        • 2 years as a Law Enforcement Officer after graduating from an approved program.
        • No felony convictions or convictions for abuse of a household member
        • Must be able to effectively do the following:
          • Supervise Contractors on site.
          • Pass weapons qualifications.
          • Work effectively with airport management, tenants, other law enforcement agencies and the public on matters dealing with the following:
          • Security disputes
          • Complaints on the performance, conduct or behavior of subordinate employees.
          • Appear in court for citations issued.
        • Uniform attire and grooming standards must be always maintained while on duty.
        • Able to stand for long periods of time.
        • Professionalism in appearance, work ethic and a positive attitude are essential.
        • Basic computer skills.
