- The Security Officer works under the supervision of the Director of Security and the Security Managers. The Security Officer is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for all persons, equipment, and physical property of Mosaic Life Care. This position is employed by Mosaic Life Care.
- Conducting patrols of the buildings and grounds, ensuring adequate access control and protection of caregivers for all Mosaic Life Care properties. Be able to respond to an armed threat and bring a safe resolution to the threat or situation.
- Conducting inspections of the facilities looking for unsafe acts and/or conditions, which threaten life safety.
- Able to operate in a stressful environment where person/persons have experienced life threating injuries and death.
- Other duties as assigned
- H.S. Diploma , GED or HiSET equivalent is required. Two years college, preferably in criminal justice, or Fire Safety and or Post Certified Police Academy is preferred.
- Driver's License - Valid - Minimum of a Class E Chauffeurs Driver's License 90 Days is required. Be able to successfully complete the Mosaic Security Officer’s Firearm Course upon hire is required. All Recruits must pass the mental evaluation to prove fit to carry a firearm by a licensed psychologist provided by the organization upon hire is required. Completion of the International Association of Hospital Safety and Security basic Security Officer Exam is preferred.
- 2 Years in a position dealing with the public, preferably in the Law Enforcement, Fire Safety, Military Security, Federal (DHS Department of Homeland Security) is required.
