  Job Summary

  Keyrus is looking for an ALGOL Developer. The ideal candidate embodies technical prowess in Unisys Legacy Applications, coupled with a fervent commitment to making every piece of data matter.   Key Responsibilities
  

  • Develop and maintain legacy ALGOL applications on the Unisys mainframe.
  • Design and implement new features or functionalities for legacy systems written in ALGOL.
  • Perform debugging, optimization, and troubleshooting on ALGOL-based systems.
  • Support the integration of new and existing DMS2 database systems with ALGOL applications.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation for ALGOL development projects.
  • Ensure that legacy systems are working smoothly, providing reliable service to business operations.

  
  

  Requirements for the role
  

  • Proven experience in ALGOL (not just COBOL) for mainframe application development.
  • Strong understanding of legacy application architecture, especially on Unisys platforms.
  • Experience with DMS2 and integrating it with ALGOL applications.
  • Ability to work with complex code and maintain legacy systems in an evolving technological environment.
  • French/Dutch is a plus
  • Fluent in English
  • Must be a Portuguese or European citizen or have a work permit for Portugal or Belgium.
  • Availability to travel.
