ALM BS Strategy Senior Manager
London
As a Barclays ALM BS Strategy Senior Manager, you will be responsible for the management of interest rate risk on the banking book across the Group balance sheet. The role will also focus on helping to drive improvements in the identification, modelling and management of interest rate risk and delivering commercial value. What will you be doing?
• Identifying and managing IRRBB arising from the various businesses supporting product & structural risk hedging strategy reviews
• Actively plan and manage the tasks to meet the BCBS368 regulatory requirements (ALM Modelling, Dynamic Balance sheet, risk reporting, QRM scenario assessment)
• Representing ALM in New Product Approvals (NAPA) process, identifying interest rate risk of new products and raise conditions
• Supporting Special / Bespoke Projects, aimed to optimise the banking book Balance Sheet, through the development of hedging solutions to mitigate business interest margins
• Participating in Libor Reform Programmes to evaluate impacts on ALM risk reporting and hedging requirements
• Developing hedging processes automation, constantly seeking ways to innovate and enhance performance
• Providing insights on customer and market conditions and impact on IRRBB with a focus on sharing market insights with business stakeholders and delivering enhanced commercial valueWhat we’re looking for:
• Previous customer banking book ALM / IRRBB experience
• Good understanding of the IRRBB regulatory environment
• Excellent understanding of a bank’s balance sheet and sources of interest rate riskSkills that will help you in the role:
• Ability to explain technical concepts in a simple, concise, succinct manner
• Excellent stakeholder management skills with a proven record of presenting to a wide range of audiences
• Excellent numeric ability and analytical skillsWhere will you be working?
