What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Demonstrate and promote CHAMP behaviors for customer service quality
- Conduct timely and accurate medication order review considering patient characteristics
- Demonstrate competency in pharmacy automation and technology
- Adhere to departmental policies, procedures, protocols, and guidelines for medication safety and quality assurance
- Provide education and training to pharmacy staff, students, residents, and healthcare team members
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Graduation from an accredited College of Pharmacy with a B.S. or PharmD degree
- Minimum of two years of relevant experience in pharmacy practice
- Current Connecticut Pharmacist License, or eligible for licensure in the state of Connecticut
- In-depth knowledge of pharmacology and therapeutics
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Completion of an ASHP-accredited PGY1 pharmacy residency or equivalent experience
- Experience in Ambulatory Care or specialty areas
- Familiarity with pharmacy systems of drug distribution and formulary management
