      About Houston

      ExxonMobil's state-of-the-art campus north of Houston serves as home to its Upstream, Product Solutions and Low Carbon Solutions businesses and their associated service groups. The facility opened in 2014 and accommodates more than 10,000 employees and visitors.

      What role you will play in our team

      The successful candidate will act as a key analytics resource across the Americas region, driving opportunity identification / capture, via understanding channels, supply/demand balance, optionality, and customer opportunities. This includes working cross functionally and providing leadership for junior analysts across the region.

      What you will do

      • Maximize earnings by delivering analytics designed to drive deep and actionable market insights to win in the marketplace and gain long-term strategic advantage
      • Providing economic analysis for opportunity evaluation and capture learnings from missed opportunities
      • Actively mentor and coach Analytics team; enable a learning environment to develop Sales analytical competencies and team proficiency in both internal and external tools
      • Lead Regional Analytics Culture of Practice
      • Developing strong collaborative relationships with key functional partners in order to drive execution and value creation
      • Acting as power-user of strategic tools that support trading activities: Data systems, bespoke analytical tools, SAP Contributing to special projects, strategy studies, and market entries
      • Drive continuous improvement in data quality via strong interface with digital organizations
      • Drive improved decision quality, leveraging analytics to assess ranges of outcomes in volatile markets
      • Completing analysis and reporting for fuels value chain performance. Support annual plan development.
      • Supporting Fuels Value Chain Management on ad-hoc business issues

      About you

      Skills and Qualifications

      • Hold a BS, BBA in engineering, mathematics, physical sciences, economics, finance, business (or equivalent)
      • Be interested in analytics, optimization, and business strategy
      • Have the ability to forecast and assess impact of business decisions
      • Be able to demonstrate the ability to collaborate effectively with multi-national and cross-functional teams
      • Demonstrate leadership paired with strong communication and interpersonal skills
      • Be able to make recommendations based on analysis, driving insights to action

      Preferred Qualifications/ Experience

      • Experience and knowledge of financial analyses, revenue management, risk evaluation and management techniques
      • Demonstrated experience in effective two-way communication with internal and external customers (oral, written, presentation, listening)
      • Demonstrated leadership and ability to influence without formal authority
      • Strong drive. motivation and continuous improvement mindset
      • Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills
      • Able to convey complex topics/analysis in a straight forward manner to enable efficient decision making
      • Solid proficiency in the use of computers, inclusive of programming skills across Python, R, SQL, Tableau and SAP programs
      • Expertise in data management
      • Minimum 8 years work experience with minimum 5 years focus in analytics
