      Summary:
Work hard, have fun, make history. That's what we do every day at Amazon. The AMER Commute Program Manager will be a member of the Global Real Estate & Facilities (GREF) team that oversees corporate office space and programs globally. You will have the opportunity to shape a strategic planning team overseeing design, optimization, and controllership of new and existing transportation programs. The strategy will inform GREF MyCommute operations, facilitating effective delivery of world class commuting experiences for employees and visitors. MyCommute oversees Amazon Ride (commuter, last mile, and intercampus shuttles) public transit and car-free options, the bicycle lease program, and Amazon managed parking assignments.
The Commute Program Manager will work with the AMER RE&F Director and Area Managers to create the Commute vision for AMER and their individual Areas, and provide metrics and reporting to Area Managers to support informed conversations with business leaders. This role will also work with cross-functional global teams using a learn and be curious attitude to identify best practices to define AMER-specific Commute goals and 3-year plan.
This role will have the latitude to innovate, pilot and recommend solutions ranging from sustainability to tech to reimagining parking. The successful candidate will be an experienced and vibrant professional with passion for transportation who excels in an entrepreneurial culture – providing vision, leadership, and communication – but not afraid to dive into details.
The role will be based in Seattle, WA and will include some travel.
      Primary Responsibilities:
      ● Provide leadership and expertise, in the areas of parking and transportation, through the development and execution of a strategic plan that standardizes planning cycles and communication strategy and supports a consistent planning process.
      ● Build out and oversee a 3rd party vendor planning team of mode managers (shuttles, parking, rideshare, and alternative methods of commute) with a focus on mode share metrics to develop program policies with gearing guidelines for each transportation mode.
      ● Analyze effectiveness of current programs using industry and internally derived benchmarks.
      ● Implement strategy, operations model and controls. Work with Area managers to incorporate local nuance into operational rollout that aligns with AMER strategy.
      ● Introduce transparent planning cycles that enable RE&F teams to align customer expectations with approval process for updates.
      ● Align commute programs with cost, usage, and regulatory trip reduction requirements.
      ● Determine necessary metrics and collection of data, and oversee development of dashboards to ensure local program compliance and ability for Area Leads to self-serve updates on program health.
      ● Support Area Leads to successfully respond to escalations and develop consensus and alignment with business leaders.
      ● Manage partnerships with regional transit agencies and Amazon Public Policy.
      ● Support the development of a flexible benefits model that incentivizes sustainable ways of commuting.
      ● Support Amazon Benefits with strategy and planning for administration of commuter subsidies.
      ● Create Workplace Design Standards that support effective and sustainable commute strategies.
      ● Work in tandem with procurement on vendor selection.
      ● Work in tandem with facilities to define roles and responsibilities, and create workflow that ensures quick resolution of customer issues.
      ● Develop a ride-share pilot to test feasibility in a US city.
      ● Work in tandem with global teams to develop a 3-year Commute Strategy including:
      o Vehicle conversion to electric
      o Reimagined parking lease guidelines
      o Decreased single occupancy rides
      o Sustainable Workplace Design Standards
      o AMER-specific Commute tech roadmap
