Job Description

- Leads and completes data projects within allotted timelines and requirements
- Checks data for accuracy and consistency. Confirms report meets research policy and procedures in compliance with laws and College regulations and policies
- Prepares and reconciles data for internal and external reporting. Assembles and distributes a variety of department or college specific data, information, forms, and records as requested
- Ensures programming and coding requirements are met and correct sources are used when retrieving data
- Creates interactive reports to maximize the efficiency and use of the data by various college areas
- Ensures research policies and procedures are met; data is consistent and accurate; and, reports and visualizations are suitable to the target audience within parameters set by requesters
- Assists Directors and AVC with data-related reports of a confidential nature, as needed
- Performs all other duties and responsibilities as assigned or directed by the supervisor
- Bachelor’s degree Economics, Mathematics, Statistics in or a closely related field of study and
- One to three years of related experience with applicable computer programs and
- One to three years of related experience with Research and Statistical Methodology
- An equivalent combination of certification, education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above

- Basic math principles as applied in spreadsheets for data collection

Position Summary:
The Analyst 2, Research position conducts research and completes projects for internal and external clients. Performs day-to-day management of research activities. Creates interactive reports. Evaluates, analyzes, and determines the most appropriate visualization tools to deliver reports in line with the clients' requirements.

For more than 50 years, Pima’s Adult Basic Education Division has served adult learners in Pima County with Adult Basic Education, Adult Secondary Education, English to Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL), Refugee Education, Rights and Responsibilities of Citizenship, Student Engagement, IBEST and Transition programming and services. Each year, thousands of adults are served at college campuses, in community locations, virtually/online, at the Pima County Jail, and primarily at three large learning centers.
