      About the position:

      The Capital Markets & Advisory Early Career Track provides junior talent the opportunity to learn more about core and client facing areas of ING’s Capital Markets and Advisory (CM&A) business area. The aim of this program is to upskill talent and prepare you for future roles in our organization. During the program, you will get hands-on experience of what is involved in the day-to-day role as a junior team member in the Corporate Finance, Loan Distributions, Global Capital Markets, Asset Securitization and Acquisition Finance teams.

      As a junior Analyst in the Early Career Track, you will be rotating across three to four CM&A teams. As a senior Analyst and Associate, you will then become a permanent member of a CM&A team. The Analyst Asset Securitization role offers a mix of hands-on transaction experience across industries and deal size ranges. The position will allow for a significant amount of collaboration and co-operation across multiple countries, business sectors, and departments within ING. During the initial orientation period, you will receive training to introduce you to ING and the regulatory, legal and compliance components of your job. Thereafter and throughout your early career, you will participate in various trainings that will help build your hard and soft skills.

      ING is seeking professional level employees that are keen to start or progress their careers in the investment banking industry. Currently, the Analyst role will start in the Asset Securitization team. This is a growing team in New York that is part of a dynamic global team which also operates out of ING’s offices in Amsterdam, Frankfurt, Sydney, and Singapore. The team is a front office commercial unit which offers securitized/warehouse lending, asset backed securities (“ABS”) capital markets origination and structured products to ING’s client. The Americas team has a particular focus on Green or Sustainable transactions. The team supports the ING client base across many sectors, with a focus on various financial sponsor portfolio companies (private credit platforms) as well as corporates across the transportation, telecom and technology, and energy industries.

      Role description

      • Contributes to the overall success of the Asset Securitization team, ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives
      • Prepares pitch books and marketing presentations in support of both the financing and term ABS platforms
      • Assists in negotiating terms and documentation with borrowers and other banks culminating in the closing of transactions
      • Prepare or review data analysis models, rating models, cash-flow models, stress tests, and other analytical tools
      • Assist in the preparation of greenlight commercial approvals, preparation of credit analysis, internal approval materials, and draft transaction outlines for approval
      • Assist in client due diligence, the preparation of due diligence reports and presentation materials, and review transaction documentation
      • Work on annual credit reviews, process loan modification / amendment requests, track covenant compliance, and maintain internal portfolio tracking metrics

      Profile

      Qualifications / Education:

      • Recent graduate holding a Bachelor’s Degree, ideally in Business, Economics, Finance, or Accounting with excellent results

      Experience / Knowledge:

      • Advanced proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
      • You have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
      • You understand financial statements
      • You are expected to obtain Series 7 or 79, and 63 registrations shortly after starting the role

      Salary Range: $110,000 -$115,000
