- Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
- Support Business Controls projects and initiatives. Assist Managers/ Senior Manager to perform data analysis, impact analysis, cost/benefit analysis, process analysis, prepare detailed documentation of requirements for systems/process changes, and preparation of instructions/training material to align solutions with business strategies or commitments.
- Assist to analyze, create and maintain a variety of reports for Business Controls, including the gathering and compiling of data from various sources for management meetings.
- Assist Managers/Senior Manager to implement solutions to business problems through participation in regular reviews of new and existing Business Controls processes to determine where they can be streamlined to drive continuous improvements such as process efficiencies, business partner satisfaction and cost savings.
- Support the creation and maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures and User Guides with a high standard of accuracy and thoroughness. This includes assisting with process mapping, validation, review and obtaining both Process Owner and Stakeholder sign off.
- Provide administrative support by actioning access requests for the Business Controls Automated Tool (BCAT).
- Establishes sound business relationships by providing courteous and efficient assistance to both internal and external business partners.
- Continually acquire and enhance knowledge of RBBO business strategies and policies, risk management practices and methodologies, product offerings, financial markets, financial instruments, regulatory requirements, Back Office processes, and rapidly changing technology to be able to provide effective business solutions and services to the end user business lines and bank clients
- Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk and conduct risk, including but not limited to responsibilities under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML/ATF Global Handbook and the Guidelines for Business Conduct

- Regularly works with multiple business and technology partners of multiple levels
- Knowledge of Retail Banking policies, procedures, operational processes and systems
- Knowledge of Bank's retail lending, deposit/investment products, cash management products/services, policies and procedures
- Expert knowledge of related regulatory requirements including OHS, KYC, AML, Anti-Terrorist
- Financing Policies, CDIC, Bank Act, Compliance Control & Operational Risk Self-Assessments, Business Continuity Plan, FCAC, and Privacy legislation and procedures
- Thorough knowledge of the roles and responsibilities of other bank service and support functions crossing all delivery channels
- Thorough knowledge of the Bank’s and the Centre’s interactive systems including Pega, IP, and CIS
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives, weighing often under conflicting priorities, and delivering results
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation, organization, and negotiation skills
- Excellent skills with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint)
- Experience in an operational environment is preferred
- Work in a standard office-based environment; non-standard hours are a common occurrence. Limited travel domestically.
