      We are looking for an Analyst: Community Development who will play a key role to coordinate and deliver community training programmes for the community, provide administrative support in the community recruitment space and manage the bursaries.

      This is a great opportunity for a highly motivated individual to manage RBM’s work to help build strong host communities with a strong focus on delivering commitments under the SA Mining Charter and other relevant legislation including RBM’s Social & Labour Plans (SLPs) and other projects agreed to on a local and regional basis.

      Reporting to the Principal Advisor, Community Development and Projects, you will:

      • Collate the required information and submit registration documents to training organizations to ensure that bookings are secured.
      • Create purchase orders on SAP and process / track invoices to ensure timely payment and provide administrative and typing services for the section, including the reports.
      • Arrange acceptable and cost-effective logistics and organize subsistence allowances for delegates as per standard procedures.
      • Assist with and maintain training schedules by ensuring that trainers are reminded of their bookings a month in advance.
      • Compile and update monthly training stats by training category.
      • Maintain SAP training data base by creating course information, closing events on receipt of attendance register and updating qualification records on a monthly basis.
      • Maintain bursary database by updating on SAP and manage the publication of community recruitment opportunities and facilitated the collection of community CVs.
      • Ensure all activities are aligned with both RBM and Rio Tinto Group policies, Standards, and approaches, including The Way We Work.

      About you

      To succeed in this role, you will have:

      • Tertiary qualification (Degree) Humanities (i.e., Human Resources, Community/ Public relations, Development studies)
      • 2 years’ experience with Mine and Community Development, with experience in Social Labour Plan Management and knowledge of relevant legislation
      • Knowledge in managing community bursary and skills programme.
      • Valid South African Drivers Licence
