      At Barclays we are seeking to hire an Analyst to join the Risk Solutions Group (RSG). This Group helps corporate clients better manage (“hedge”) their financial exposures by identifying, structuring, and executing interest rate and currency hedges. RSG works closely with coverage and product bankers, as well as colleagues in Markets, Credit Risk, and Legal, in order to deliver solutions to our clients. In joining this group you should have an interest in the capital markets, in general, and in derivatives, in particular. In role you will engage with clients and with internal stakeholders across the Investment Bank and Corporate Bank, and oversee projects from an early stage.

      To be successful as a Corporate Risk Solutions Analyst, you'll need:

      • A keen interest in financial markets
      • Ability to understand Mid-Cap Market clients and their hedging needs
      • Previous experience in a related business area at Analyst level
      • Client Management and interpersonal skills

      The position is based in our London Office.

      This role is deemed as a Certified role under the PRA & UK Financial Conduct Authority - Individual Accountabilities Regulations and may require the role holder to hold mandatory regulatory qualifications or the minimum qualifications to meet internal company benchmarks.

      Purpose of the role

      To raise capital and manage the financial risk of clients, including financial advisory services, identification and origination of market opportunities, research, economic analysis.

      Accountabilities

      • Development and maintenance of strong relationships with corporate, financial and institutional clients to understand their financing needs and objectives. .
      • Development and maintenance of complex financial models to assess the value of assets, companies, or securities and identify the most appropriate structuring of capital raising initiatives, including equity financing via an initial public offerings, investment grade debt underwriting, leveraged financing solutions for non-investment grade clients, or derivative hedging solutions. .
      • Collaboration with Coverage, M&A, Syndicate, Global Markets, and cross functional teams to ensure successful origination, company due diligence, and execution of various capital market transactions. .
      • Identification, assessment, and management of risks associated with capital markets transactions and development of risk mitigation strategies in alignment with regulatory requirements. .
      • Research, financial data analysis and continued development of market insights and investment recommendations. .
