      Hamilton Lane, a global investment leader in the private markets sector, is seeking recent college graduates to join our Analyst Development Program. This apprenticeship kicks off with a robust, hands-on training session starting in July 202 4 at our Philadelphia headquarters. Within the program, analysts can expect to develop job skills, receive mentoring opportunities, and be coached by some of the industry’s best leaders within the investment teams.

      The Opportunity

      The Fund Investment team identifies and reviews private equity fund managers and works with our global client base to build and manage private markets portfolios . Fund Investment team members conduct due diligence, screen new investment opportunities , contribute to private equity research reports , prepare client d eliverables and work on special projects to support client servicing. Team members are exposed to the world’s best private equity managers and work alongside our leading institutional investors on a global scale .

      A first year Fund Investment Analyst will begin to develop the skills needed to assess private equity fund investment opportunities and assist in client management . They will receive exposure to private equity asset managers, called General Partners, by analyzing their private placement materials, participating in in-house meetings and site visits to their offices . They will also work directly with Client Managers on various prospect and client inquiries, pipeline calls, presentations, and portfolio development tasks .

      In addition to working on special projects and other company initiatives, first year Fund Investment Analysts:

      • Perform the initial review and formulate the initial recommendation of private equity fund opportunities on a global basis;

      • Meet fund managers and perform in depth due diligence to arrive at a final recommendation on the fund opportunity;

      • Monitor portfolios and generate written reports on Hamilton Lane’s current fund investments through update meetings, quarterly calls, and annual meetings ;

      • Maintain a working knowledge of assigned client portfolios and the investments within these portfolios ;

      • Assist in client portfolio development including running pacing models, assisting with allocation decisions, preparing strategic plans, and reviewing quarterly reports ;

      • Respond to ad hoc prospect and client questions and special requests

      Second year Fund Investment Analysts will continue to build on the skills attained in their first year however, as investment acumen develops, they will assume greater ownership of initial recommendations and participate more in deal team discussions. They will oversee and review the

      training of first year analysts and over time will review the output of more junior analysts. They will also start to make introductions to broader pieces of the firm.

      In the third year, Fund Investment Analysts will have developed their competencies, professionalism, and investment acumen to the point where they can take on a more senior role on deal teams. They typically produce less individual work product and are expected to contribute at a higher-level providing insight into investment recommendations. In addition, they will contribute to the hiring, training, and mentoring of junior analysts.

      Strong-performing analysts are considered for longer-term careers at Hamilton Lane, with potential for Associate promotions during or after their third year.

      • High academic achievement: 3.0 or higher overall GPA required .

      • Majors: We are interested in applicants who have demonstrated excellence in their chosen majors, have strong analytical talent, and are keenly interested in investments.

      • Language: English Fluency.

      • The ability to work in the US without sponsorship.

      • On-Campus Leadership: in clubs, sports, community service, etc.

      • Success in Professional Level Internships: with references to illustrate that success

      • Language Skills: additional spoken and written languages.
